The Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA) has made it possible for Tax payers in the country to “self print” their Tax Payer Identification Number (TPIN) Certificates right in the comfort of their homes or offices.
In the past taxpayers were not able to print TPIN certificates from the web portal as there was no provision to do so.
ZRA Corporate Communications Manager Topsy Sikalinda announced that this is a new addition to their Tax online web system which will allow tax payers to register and self print their certificates directly from the ZRA website. It will also offer quick and easy access to their accounts.
ZRA Commissioner General, Kingsley Chanda in a statement said, the new self printing service added to the website will make it more convenient for all tax payers to print their certificates. “Currently, some of our clients visit our Advise Centre offices just to have a TPIN certificate printed which will no longer be the case with this new innovation. It is our intention to continue to modernize and better our service delivery and ultimately improve our overall compliance on tax matters, ” he added.
The new self printing option comes at a time when Government has made having a TPIN number a legal requirement for all bank account holders. With the new feature users will not have to move to ZRA offices just to collect their certificates. Banks require these certificates before 31st December 2017, this will definitely speed the process of submitting the certificates to them.
