ZAMBIA”S CAF ENVOYS, NAPSA, IN KENYA WITHOUT MAYUKA, MWAPE

WITH Emmanuel Mayuka and Bornwell Mwape missing from the list, Zambia’s continental envoys NAPSA Stars is in Nairobi, Kenya for the first leg of the CAF Confederation pre-group stage tie on Sunday against Gor Mahia.

                          Mayuka

NAPSA landed yesterday in Nairobi with a 23-man squad that includes former Gor Mahia players, Shaban Odhoji and David Odhiambo.

The Pensioners, as NAPSA is fondly known, will entertain Kenyan’s Green Army in Nairobi without key players Mwape and Mayuka.

The club has not given an update why the duo is missing from the squad.

Meanwhile, NAPSA goalkeeper Shaban Odhoji and defender David ‘Calabar’ Owino have been named and are in contention to face their former Kenya Premier League side.

Timothy Otieno would have been the third player to face his former club had he remained with NAPSA.

                     Mwape

After a short period with NAPSA Stars, Odhiambo, who had joined the Zambian team from Tusker before the season began, returned to Kenya and signed for Sofapaka in February.

The NAPSA goal keeper, in an earlier interview with Goal, had warned his teammates not to underrate Go Mahia by looking at the previous games.
