ONLINE ADOLESCENTS HIV CONFERENCE COMING – MoH

AN online Indaba for adolescents and young people to make contributions towards the fight against HIV is on this month, the Ministry of Health has said.

The virtual conference under the theme: “Ending AIDS through Adolescent voices and participation” will be held from 18 to 19 February, 2021.

The Ministry of Health (MoH) and the National AIDS Council have partnered to host the first-ever National Adolescent HIV Surge Virtual Indaba.

The two-days meeting will be an interactive platform for adolescents and young people through which they will be able to make contributions towards the implementation of the National Adolescent Surge.

According to the MoH young people will get to discuss what works and what does not work for them when it comes to the fight against HIV.

The MoH has emphasized that due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Indaba will take place virtually, adding that would-be participants can join from anywhere, including the comfort of their homes.
