SOME public service employees have expressed concern over the continued failure to complete the process of accessing their electronic payslips on the payslip-self service portal.
The employees have complained and alleged that the electronic payslip self-service system is inefficient and unreliable as they have tried to access the service but in the process, the system denies them access by citing wrong details that include email addresses and service or employee number.
“……..have not received my October payslip, is there any problem with Smart Zambia institute?” One employee wondered.
“I would like to access my e-payslip for the past few months, it is denying my… password…. when it is the one. please I need help,” Another government worker complained.
The e-Payslip Distribution Management Information Systems (EPDMIS) automates the distribution of payslips by sending individual emails for public service employees on the Payroll Management and Establishment Control (PMEC) System.
The EPDMIS is one of the innovations that Smart Zambia Institute rolled out as part of an e-governance agenda to promote smart and paperless Zambia.
And Smart Zambia is an initiative established under Government Gazzette number 836 of 2016 as an E-government division that aims at transforming the country through ICT and deployment of electronic government services for effective public service delivery.
The Institute, however, is mandated to coordinate and harmonise the implementation of e-governance to enhance service delivery across government ministries and its spending agencies.
