RUNNER-UP in the recently announced Zambia Information and Communications Technology (ZICTA) ICT Innovation Program Tafadzwa Munzwa says his firm plans to grow its customer base to ensure that its performs better in the next round of competitions.
Mr. Munzwa is Co-founder & CEO of Dawa Health, developed a mobile application as well as a web portal that is aimed to assist pregnant and nursing mothers to access maternal health services.
“We are talking with several partners to see to it that we implement measures that will grow our service’s in other parts of the country… We are already piloting in Lusaka and we hope this move will be a success,” he said.
Mr. Munzwa, who is also a medical student expressed enchantment for having emerged second in the ICT program and described the results to ‘life changing’.
He, however, admitted that the lag in the use of social media in the dissemination of information regarding Dawa Clinic’s services and reviewed the firm plans to work with brand ambassadors to extend its visibility.
The tech expert further availed that his firm has partnered with Churches Association of Zambia (CHAZ) and Amred Health to inform customers in rural area on self-immunization and health education through its portal.
His firm, Dawa Clinic is a startup creating tools that are reshaping access to maternal health for pregnant and nursing mothers.
The list of the top three finalists recently outlined by ZICTA are Gabriel Kasonde (Elicate Education Sector), Tafadzwa Munzwa (Dawa Health Sector) and Rex Thulani (Z-Retailer E-Commerce).
